Hello all, Robert and Anna Rippy. Not sure if this is where I put this. The site has changed since I had been involved back in 97-99.
But it's great to see it still going.
We moved from So Cal to Payson AZ, Lots O Twisties. Still Riding the 96 GPZ, all stock except for the wind screen and the Corbin seat.

New to me!

I'm also a new member, because I just got mine last fall. Picked up a black "95" for $2000 u.s., and love it. Nice bike, and spent all winter cleaning it, changing the lights to LED's, chopping of the rear fenber, and polising the wheels. Can't wait for the weather to turn, so I can put on some serious miles on it. I can't believe this bike didn't sell better, it is the definition of sport touring, fast as hell, I can ride all day long, and it there is even plenty of room for my wife. What's not to love?

Hello everyone. Nice to find this spot. I have a '96 GPZ, black, with several comfort and /or convenience mods. 1st, Stainless brake lines, Homemade bar risers, Scott Oiler, (best addition to any bike with a chain.). Corbin seat, Throttle meister bar end cruise control, (Wonderful for cross country trips.). I also have the original equipment touring bags that match the bike. Gives a great look with all the recent interest in Sport Touring. I'm looking for a mounting kit to mount a top box with a back rest. Does anyone have any helpful ideas?

I'm from Denmark, and have just bought a GPZ 1100 1996 this week from Italy. I haven’t biking the last 20 years, so I’m looking forward for summertime. The only problem just now, is to finding a service manual and a owner manual. I tried to by it on http://kawasaki.com (Owner’s Manual Item number 99920-1776-01 and Service Manual ZX1100E item number 99924-1182-01) but I got a messages and a warning against the site in my browser, and didn’t dare to overrule it. So is there any buddy ho have even a photocopy ore a PFD of this to documents here in the forum?

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Peter from The Netherlands, and I own a 1997 GPZ in candy red. (There are some pictures I've uploaded) Unfortunately, a GPZ is a very rare motorcycle here. They never really sold well I think, I have read some critics in the Dutch press about it and they were quite sceptical these days: "A normal tube frame (not aluminium box-type monocoque or the like), huge weight and almost non-adjustable suspension"... And really, I have never felt better on a motorcycle that suits my needs better than this one.

Just picked up my French imported GPZ 1100, No history with it apart from mots and it rides a peach, the only slight drawback is that its quite lumpy below 2500rpm. Does anybody know if this is normal on a kwak ? (MY FIRST ONE) The bike appears to be standard apart from some very nice motad exhausts.

HI EVERYONE IM FROM AUSTRALIA NEW TO THE SITE BACK RIDING AFTER 20 YEARS .BOY IT GOOD RIDING AGAIN. I HAVE GOT A 96 1100 47K ON IT.DONE 1000K ON IT WHEN I FOUND IT HAD A COLLAPED BEARING NO3. TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND SAID IT WILL COST 2500 GRAND TO FIX.
NEEDS A NEW CRANK, ROD, SHELLS ETC. THANK GOD FOR WARRANTIES.IN WORK SHOP FOR 8 WEEKS AND FINELY GETTING IT THIS WEEK. LETS HOPE ITS SMOOTH RIDING FROM HERE.CHEERS

Hello everybody !
i'm from Germany and i will get my Gipsy this week.
It's a used one but looks (except some scratches on the tank) very good.
I get new tyres and then i hope it will rock.
The Gipsy is a open one with 125hp ;-)

Although it seems like there is only 3 active members on this forum, I felt that I needed to give an official farewell. I was involved in a low (sub-35) mph accident that left my gpz a tad crippled and bashed up.

It would be fairly repairable, but as we all know replacement bits are not cheap nor easy to come by. The repair costs for parts alone would be more than the blue book value for the bike in MINT condition, so I left it in the hands of my insurance provider to decide. If the don't total the bike as a loss, i'll be shocked (but happy).
